SPI's strong alliances with companies such as Focus Features, The Weinstein Company, Summit Entertainment Studio Canal, Pathe, Lakeshore entertainment, Wild Bunch, Beta Film, Fremantle Media and many others have fueled SPI International's growth in the theatrical market in Eastern Europe. SPI's catalogue consists of over 2000 movies and series with explosive growth planned for the coming years as we leverage our position in the industry. Building on its success SPI International, Inc. has opened local branches in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary specializing in theatrical and video/DVD distribution and allowing SPI to provide individualized support to their clients. SPI's local branches have followed up their theatrical success with dvd and video releases on their own label which has led to an especially impressive penetration of the DVD and Video markets in their respective territories. In addition to theatrical, Video and DVD SPI is the leading supplier of programming to all the major television stations throughout our territories. We plan on replicating this successful strategy in various new territories to fuel our horizontal growth. To further exploit its vasıt library SPI established its own cable channels on pay and basic cable level in
Poland 3 channels, Czech Republic 5 channels, Slovakia 5 Channels Hungary 6 channels, Romania 3 channels and in Spain 2
channels. SPI will open additional channels in our established territories and will expand the growth of our channels word wide.
In addition to our existing Film Channels we are working on a documentary channel, fashion channel, family channel, In 2007 SPI International made a major acquisition, purchasing 100% of Kino Polska the leading Polish movie channel. Since the acquistion SPI has built Kino Polska into a top ten station reaching over 7 million households. On April 12,2011 Kino Polska went public on the Polish Stock exchange.The offering was a huge success. SPI is investing heavily in new media such as VOD, MOBILE, IPTV and HDTV to continue with its vertical growth. We have recently started a close collaboration with OBLIO an electronics distribution company which will help us to further our growth and branch out into new markets. In 2007 SPI lanunched Eastern Europe's first HD movie channel. SPI's commitment is to provide the latest movies using the lates technology. SPI now has HD channels in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. In The near future HD chammels will be launched in all Eastern Europe and CIS countries with channels reaching Europe and around the world. To compliment our movies and series SPI has a catalogue that is available worldwide, consisting of formants, animation, bloopers, sports, light entertainment, fashion and lifestyle programming worldwide.
