FilmBox channels launched on Baltcom in Latvia

Baltcom, the second largest telecommunication operator in Latvia, has recently launched five channels from the SPI International’s worldwide pay TV channel portfolio.

The SPI bouquet includes FilmBox, a movie channel which features a variety of Hollywood hits, European cinema and popular TV series from top international suppliers. True fans of world cinema will enjoy watching film masterpieces by such prominent directors as Kurosawa, Fellini or Hitchock, in addition to the award-winning festival movies presented on FilmBox Arthouse, an international film channel, which received the EUTELSAT TV Award in the Best Cinema category. FightBox HD is a martial arts channel with live broadcasts of major international MMA and kickboxing events. Another sports and lifestyle channel in the line-up is Fast&FunBox HD with extensive coverage of adrenaline sports from all over the world. Last but not least, DocuBox HD channel presents amazing documentaries and award-winning programming devoted to wild life, nature and human civilization. All five channels have Russian and English language feeds.
 
SPI widens channel distribution in the Baltic countries with several other deals. FightBox HD and Fast&Fun Box HD channels have been picked up by Media Centrs Kurzeme, while Elektrons&K offers FightBox HD and DocuBox HD. Both networks also operate in Latvia. Lithuanian cable TV operator UAB Splius has recently added FightBox HD to its thematic package.
