SPI/FILMBOX Channel Group launch channels with Miabox (Ivory Coast)

SPI International/FILMBOX Channels Group continue to expand in Africa with a new distribution deal in Ivory Coast

SPI International is launching eight thematic channels on Miabox, an OTT platform in Ivory Coast which is planning to offer its services across the Sub-saharan Africa.

The pack is comprised of of eight channels: FilmBox Africa, FilmBox Art House, FightBox, Fast&FunBox, FashionBox, DocuBox, 360TuneBox and MadscreenBox. 

With the launch of the FilmBox brand channels Miabox’ users shall enjoy a variety of rich programming including some of the popular BBC dramas, which SPI has recently acquired from the British supplier including The Musketeers and the Doctor Who series, among many others. 

True fans of world cinema will enjoy watching the masterpieces by such prominent directors as Kurosawa, Fellini or Hitchcock in addition to the award-winning festival movies presented on FilmBox Art House, an international film channel which received the EUTELSAT TV Award in the Best Cinema category.    

The bouquet also features FightBox, a 24/7 combat sports channel with live broadcasts of MMA and kickboxing events as well as  Fast&FunBox HD, a sports channel that presents an action-packed, adrenaline-pumping medley of extreme sports, from car racing and motocross to snowboarding and skateboarding. DocuBox HD brings the best documentary films covering nature, science, culture and human civilization. FashionBox HD channel is devoted to fashion and shopping.  The Miabox subscribers will also enjoy MadscreenBox, a unique live, interactive channel with family-oriented games and entertainment.  Last but not least is 360TuneBox, an independent music channel which presents a variety of music genres, from rock, pop, electronica, to dance and hip-hop.

Out of the eight channels offered by Miabox four of them are being localized in French language: FilmBox, FilmBox Art House, DocuBox and MadscreenBox.
