SPI’s FilmBox channels get new viewers on TNT SAT in Africa

SPI International is launching six thematic channels on TNT Sat Africa, a Mali-based DTH platform broadcasting from the SES 4 at 22.0°W satellite.

The pack is comprised of six movie and thematic channels: FilmBox Africa, FilmBox Art House, Fast&FunBox, FashionBox, DocuBox, and MadscreenBox

With the launch of the FilmBox brand channels TNT Sat subscribers shall enjoy a variety of rich programming including some of the popular BBC dramas, which SPI has recently acquired from the British supplier including The Musketeers and the Doctor Who series, among many others. 

True fans of world cinema will enjoy watching the masterpieces by such prominent directors as Kurosawa, Fellini or Hitchcock in addition to festival movies presented on FilmBox Art House, an international film channel, which received the EUTELSAT TV Award in the Best Cinema category.  

The bouquet also features Fast&FunBox HD, a sports channel that presents an action-packed, adrenaline-pumping medley of extreme sports, from car racing and motocross to snowboarding and skateboarding. DocuBox HD brings the best documentary films covering nature, science, culture and human civilization. FashionBox HD channel is devoted to fashion and shopping.  The TNT Sat subscribers will also enjoy MadscreenBox, a unique live, interactive channel with family-oriented games and entertainment.  

Out of the six channels carried by TNT Sat four of them are being localized in French language: FilmBox Africa, FilmBox Art House, DocuBox and MadscreenBox.
