Two FilmBox channels launched on MY-HD in UAE

SPI International has added two movie channels to its current line-up on Dubai’s MY-HD platform: FilmBox and FilmBox Art House.

MY-HD, the High Definition satellite Pay-TV provider now carries FilmBox and FilmBox Art House channels. Programming on both channels has been adjusted to respect local cultural requirements. Soon the two channels, which are currently broadcast in English, will feature Arabic subtitles.
 
FilmBox is a general entertainment channel which airs movies and TV series mostly from U.S., Canadian, British and Australian producers. With the launch MY-HD's subscribers shall enjoy a variety of rich programming including some of the popular BBC dramas, which SPI has recently acquired from the British supplier, including The Musketeers and the Doctor Who series, among many others..
 
FilmBox Art House is an international, award-winning channel which features masterpieces of world cinema by such prominent directors as Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Fellini and many others. The channel also airs independent productions from all over the world including critically acclaimed movies presented at the most prestigious film festivals like Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Toronto, Karlovy Vary and Tokyo.
 
In addition to newly added FilmBox and FilmBox Art house, MY-HD also carries three other channels from the SPI International’s worldwide pay TV portfolio: FightBox HD (a multi-discipline combat sports channel), Fast&FunBox HD (a mix of adrenaline and extreme sports programming) and DocuBox HD (a documentary channel about nature and human civilization).
